WARD ON THE MOVE
A Mobile Art Experience by Curated
Join us for an immersive evening of art, memory, movement, and collective gathered around a mobile exhibition featuring new works by Rainey King created during his April 2026 residency at MIDO Gallery in Medellín, Colombia.
Spanning painting, sculpture, public intervention, performance, collected material, and social practice, WARD ON THE MOVE explores how memory, labor, lineage, and movement shape the marks we leave behind.
The evening will feature:
— New bodies of work from Colombia
— Interactive installations
— A collaborative found object workshop
— Music, conversation, and shared space
— Limited residency print releases
At 6:30 PM, guests are invited to participate in the FOUND OBJECT WORKSHOP — a reflective, hands-on experience exploring memory, material, and transformation.
Bring a small object, fragment, receipt, textile, stone, photograph, or discarded material that carries personal meaning. Through guided reflection and intuitive mark-making, participants will transform ordinary objects into small personal artifacts that connect to the exhibition's larger language.
No artistic experience needed.
This event is intentionally mobile and hosted within a transformed U-Haul exhibition space — reimagining temporary architecture through adaptive reuse, sustainability, and accessible public engagement.
Light snacks & beverages provided / BYOB encouraged.
Private RSVP location shared after registration.
Thank you for being part of the story.
WARD IS THE WAY.
Current Work & Residency
I’m currently developing multiple bodies of work through an ongoing residency in Medellín, Colombia — exploring memory, labor, lineage, public intervention, and material storytelling through painting, found objects, performance, and collected fragments.
This evolving archive follows the ways place reshapes practice, documenting new series as they unfold in real time. Explore current work below, or follow along through my Instagram journal for process, travel, and studio moments.
